Parkinson's
Medicines

The seven medicines in my father's journey. What was prescribed, what we remember, and what remains unknown — kept distinct.

Current means the family-reported schedule as of 21 October 2026, not a recommendation or a live prescription.

A record, not a ranking.

Prescription dates do not confirm dates actually taken. Historical regimens are not current regimens.

Exact start/stop dates, tablets per dose and frequency unknown.

Family account & source limits

My father took Syndopa CR 125 (prolonged release), which he obtained during treatment in India before first consulting Prof. Dr. Md. Amirul Haque around 2021. I do not know the dose frequency, tablets per dose, exact start and stop dates, overlap or response. His earliest Parkinson's medication began around Jan 2016, but I cannot confirm that as the Syndopa start date. I keep Syndopa 125, Codopa 275 mg and Stalevo 125 mg as distinct reported brands/formulations, not interchangeable historical records.

Family account & source limits

Added to Oridopa under specialist supervision. Replaced on 20 Oct 2026.

During the Bangkok stay, sleep was around 3–4 hours and late-afternoon OFF remained. Several supervised combinations were tried; these observations cannot establish an effect of HBS alone.

Madopar Dispersible 125

Dispersible tablet

Levodopa 100 mg + benserazide 25 mg

1 tablet · 5 times daily

Every ~4 hours. Exact fifth dose time unverified. Previously an occasional ½–1 tablet, without fixed timing.

Family account & source limits

Previously an occasional extra half or one tablet with no fixed timing. From ~4 PM 20 Oct 2026: one tablet every 4 hours, five times daily, per a family-reported return visit to Dr. Shivam Om Mittal at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Early movement seemed better, alongside prolonged sleeplessness, unclear speech and morning OFF. Cause is unconfirmed; the reported ON stretch began before the new schedule.

The supplied Orion 25/100 carton belongs to our Oridopa 25/100 record. The Syndopa photograph is CR 125, the prolonged-release formulation my father confirmed from India. Package strength labels do not establish unverified individual ingredient strengths or historical schedules.

Five doses daily, every ~4 hours. The exact clock time of the fifth dose is not verified.

Scheduled levodopa: 1,500 mg/day

Each Madopar 125 dose contains 100 mg levodopa + 25 mg benserazide; 125 is not the levodopa amount.

What changed?

HBS was replaced by scheduled Dispersible. Oridopa continued at two tablets five times daily; Madopar moved from three recorded scheduled doses to five.

Early movement seemed better, but the first night also brought prolonged sleeplessness, recurrent unclear speech and chewing-like movements, followed by morning OFF. The reported ON interval began at noon, before the ~4 PM change. These observations do not establish cause or diagnose dyskinesia.
