May–June 2025: A Month in Bangkok

At Bumrungrad Hospital, Dr. Amputch Karukote added Madopar HBS 125 to Oridopa. My father began sleeping around three to four hours at night, though late afternoons were still hard.

Personal experience, not medical advice. I share our family's experience here. Talk to your doctor before starting, stopping or changing any medicine. New or worsening speech trouble, facial drooping or sudden weakness can be an emergency. Seek urgent medical help immediately. Full disclaimer

In May and June 2025 we travelled to Bangkok because my father was getting worse. He could barely sleep and needed help to stand or walk. We stayed about a month, saw Dr. Amputch Karukote at Bumrungrad Hospital several times and had regular physiotherapy.

Adding Madopar HBS 125

The neurologist added Madopar HBS 125 (levodopa 100 mg + benserazide 25 mg, modified-release) to his Oridopa 25/100. Over the stay, several doctor-supervised combinations were tried.

We felt that one particular combination of packages worked better for him. That is only our experience. It does not show that one brand is better than another. People respond differently to Parkinson's medicine, and his doctor needs to guide any change.

Physiotherapy

He had regular physiotherapy during our stay. It reminded us how much daily care involves movement and posture, including safer ways to stand and turn.

What changed

  • He started sleeping around three to four hours at night, which was an improvement after the spring.
  • A late-afternoon OFF period often remained, roughly from 3–4 PM until 8–9 PM.
  • The benefit of a dose (ON time) often lasted around two to three hours.

Coming home

After returning to Dhaka he continued Oridopa with Madopar HBS. That combination remained his regimen until 20 October 2026.
