Motor Diary
The hours between doses.

My father's reported movement patterns and difficult nights. This is not continuous monitoring: approximate boundaries and unrecorded hours remain visibly unknown.

  • ▲ New regimen starts ~4 PM

The ON report starts at noon, four hours before the new regimen. A medicine marker is not proof that the medicine caused the reported state. Hatched colouring marks an approximate continuous family report rather than individually verified half-hour boxes.

ON

Reported movement benefit.

OFF

Reported return or worsening of motor difficulties.

Unreported or only partly known. Not the same as OFF.

Approximate family report

A continuous reported window drawn across 30-minute slots. The individual half-hours were not separately verified.

What I observed · context matters

  • Reported ON from ~noon 20 Oct to ~4 AM 21 Oct. This began four hours BEFORE the ~4 PM regimen change and must not be attributed to the new medicine.
  • Overnight: prolonged sleeplessness, intermittent chewing-like movements and recurrent unclear speech (worse overnight). Possible dyskinesia — not diagnosed, so not charted as dyskinesia.
  • BP ~90 systolic rising to ~125 after 30 min reported; diastolic and position unknown.

The nights are part of the story, too.

Beyond movement.

Symptoms in our wider record

Severe OFF immobility, stiffness or pulling in the back, arms and legs; numbness, dizziness, constipation and disturbed sleep. Urinary frequency was often reported as 15–20 times daily and 8–12 overnight, with small interrupted amounts. Occasional facial asymmetry, unclear speech and chewing-like movements are concerns, not diagnoses.

Blood pressure · both low and high

Family-reported systolic readings were roughly 90–110 at low times and 150–160 at high times. Higher readings sometimes coincided with stress or arguments; this does not establish cause. A reading around 90 rose to around 125 after 30 minutes on 20–21 October; diastolic pressure and position were unknown. These observations are clinical context, not Parkinson's medicine entries.
